Life is shitty but there's always toilet paper...

I had been pretty busy during the past 3 to 4 months. From one side there is the monster... aka my investigation for my thesis which once again has been put on hold once again not because of me but once again by external factor this time is the winter holidays. I am almost done with the interviews I am half-way to be done with this process. I did the observation part and now I am fully immerse in the interview. Oh boy this has been in the past month. Wheeefff my head has begun spinning just trying to remember and seeing what is left. Also my soap shop I feel bad I should dedicated it more time but with my recent grandmahood and with the investigation I am letting her run by itself bad.. bad, bad. So far I have done some few sales. Which is good! I should not be forgetting that I also been involve in two car accidents not by own fault but by the people who had hit me. The first left me speechless in how connection works, the other one was just recently people the stores are not going to leave and could you at least do your shopping online if you can to avoid well screaming at people to get out of the way and not looking back and taking the proper cautions. Geez could she not see that I was almost out of the parking lot. Bad, bad,... anyway time to pass that page and be done with that.

I am eager to 2010 to be done. Is been a bad year for me one my life has been put into a stale mood, two I feel like it has been laughing at me all the time whenever I am about to embark new goals. Passing the page I had the chance to be heavily involve with two organizations that I had been putting on hold for a while to do some volunteer work. The first one, Iniciativa Comunitaria ( Punto Fijo) works directly with the drug addicts and the homeless population is very rewarding in trying to spread knowledge of harm reduction among other things my world been fed a humble spoon by these gents and ladies. The other one lets say I had been flirting with joining it several years ago! It was not until this past August  that had the guts to finally join in! I am talking about my road in becoming a Red Cross volunteer. I am still a few workshops away to be fully trained.

Knowing how the panorama in the finding a job in Puerto Rico has become I had become aware that volunteer work can not only help you distract your mind and keep it sharp. But it aids in acquiring new abilities, new knowledge as well to test new waters as you do your share with the world. Did I forget you get paid even more than any paid job yep! Just because you think is not a paid job you are not getting paid just think of the knowledge you are getting and how you are discovering yourself is worth... you will see that no money in the world can equal that amount even if its one hour per day.
